Missing something?

Tuesday is here - sorry no Monday update, but the Internet was cutoff - paid the bill - got it back. Day after tomorrow I am due to give birth. There is still a chance I'll go before then - but I doubt it.
I’m hoping this birth is as low key as possible - few visitors. My mom and Hubby will stay in room for the birth - if that’s okay with my doctor. My dad will be at his house with my twins. My brother will either be with my dad and twins or at the hospital in the waiting room. Hubby’s dad should be at bike week someplace. Hubby’s mom can’t take off work, but she’ll visit briefly after work. My grandmother will show up if she is already in town. This is ALL GOOD! Last time everyone showed up for the circus and it cut into hubby's bonding time majorly. Mine too.

Thoughts from yesterday:
This is day 8 of rain here.
Hubby says he's freaking out because he's worried about me and losing me during childbirth.
Twins built children of the world puzzle together before 8am.
No Internet means no barbie.com OR wizard101 woes today!
Twins built US States puzzle together too.
Twins are playing Over the Hedge on xbox together.
Stupid books broke my arms out - had to take a Benadryl.
Campbell? cute name?
Hubby's mom won't use skim milk in mac & cheese - but wants to lose weight.
She also says her foot is “cured” because it doesn’t hurt.
The rat in the laundry room is eating those peanut treats.
She just washed all the little rugs in the house yesterday - and 2 have already been peed on again.

Sunday

Yesterday:
I took my old phone and charger to my mom.
I took my new phone's UPC to my mom for rebates.
I got my brother to take some pictures of my belly.
My kids ate TONS of food at my parent's house - yogurt, ice cream, Popsicles, cereal, ramen noodles, grapes, cucumbers, AND snacks of crackers and cookies.
I watched the football game with my family.
Alabama won 53 to 7 - no surprise!
I watched part of the Auburn game after the 1 hour rain delay - Auburn won 41-30, but it wasn't easy for them!
Hubby placed 7th in his tournament and won a disc.
I cut hair out of the vacuum brush, but I didn't test it afterward.
I measured my tummy - 46".
I checked the mail.

Sunday:
Hang shirts in closet
Vacuum where star station TV was
Empty brown shelf
Fill up the movie rack
Move brown bookshelf to old star station TV spot

I'm a bit irritated today - honestly hubby's mom is rubbing my the wrong way. I think I'm just sick of all the pampering my kids get from their dad, my dad, and hubby's mom. These kids get WAY too much from these other people. It's like they get rewarded for doing nothing OR doing something undesirable. On top of that, I'm frustrated with how bad I know hubby's mood will be today.
Update - hubby woke up a little after 11. It is 1pm and he's asleep again. He got in a bad mood when he realized his mom was still doing her laundry, so he can't do his. He does seem to be getting sick - cough, headache, sore throat. And he is sore from yesterday's tournament.
At 3:30 he got back up...didn't really leave the bed till after 4. He's still pissed about the clothes thing. He wants to leave, but says he has nothing to wear. At 4:40 he finally got off his butt and took the trash out...and now he's smoking a cigarette while talking to the shirtless perv from across the street.
Now at 5:20 I'm approaching mood level "vile" - I am highly disgusted. Hubby is BACK in bed. Hubby's mom is touching the trash can and trash bag in the kitchen and emptying the dishwasher - she doesn't even bother washing her hands. That really makes me HATE the food I have to consume later! I know that she has to wonder why I wash and rinse my utensils and plates before I use them - well, it's because I don't want to die - I don't like foodbourne illness - I'm pregnant too. Call me a germaphobe, but I'll be the germaphobe without Ecoli!
Oh - the bank isn't letting hubby use his card...so no bills are getting paid. He is too down to call the bank (1-800 numbers usually work on the weekends). So cable could be cutoff anytime. Also his mom is demanding money - and he promised her at least $150. I guess that means we won't be paying storage or the credit cards after all. I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up about the check - I should have known it was too good to be true.

Tomorrow:
Sew cloth wipes
Put away folded towels/blankets/comforter
Rip paper towels for wipes
Fold paper towels for wipes
Clear off bedroom dresser
Pack blue fabric, 2 pairs breast pads, medicaid application, pretty paper for footprints, camera charger

Empty book tub onto white or brown bookshelf
Use empty tub for clothes in my bottom drawer

Move star station TV to dining room
Paint my tummy
Take tummy pictures!

Move ottoman to bedroom
Clear off dresser in living room
Move surelatch connectors on new car seat to rear-facing position

Put crib mattress in crib (after dry)
Enter coke rewards points
Label twins dresser drawers
Put hammer away in toolbox

A good Friday?

Today may be a big day for us financially. Hubby's boss gave him his pay(half of it really) for next month last night. Now we have enough to pay to get our car insurance back; we can pay cable too. I feel certain there will be enough left to pay storage and even my health insurance and credit cards IF we stretch it right. Hubby is also meeting with his father today to get a new pair of shoes. He said he wants to get up "early" - perhaps 9. Generally he will go back to sleep until 10:30 in a case like this. All I need him to be home for is 30 minutes so I can get a shower. He doesn't have to work until 4...so he'll leave here at 3:15.
Headache. Snotty. Guts hurt. Boobs hurt. Hubby has gone to do errands - I'm glad because he was being "short" with me at a time that I didn't need it. You know why I hate making phone calls? Because that's when EVERYTHING goes down around me. I called the twin's doctor to see if they will take the baby - as I expected - NO. Then I called my OBGYN to setup next weeks pre-induction appointment - Tuesday at 3pm - horrible timing - no one wants to keep the twins at 3pm - it cuts into people's lives - and I'd be leaving in traffic. They told me to call back Monday to try to reschedule earlier in the day. Then I looked up the pediatrician's office that has always been the backup I had in mind IF I needed to change the kids doctor. I called them - they were great - they will take my new baby; they will also take my twins. An extra bonus is that the twins FIRST pediatrician - who we adored - is at this practice now, so we may get to see her again! Another doctor there is the husband of a doctor that has worked on J & T at Children's Hospital before. Anyway, talking on the phone to people that matter while hubby is being a jerk and the twins are running around asking for stuff they don't need is NOT easy. Then I get sat down in my room and have to jump up and RUN to get the ringing phone - it was hubby's mom telling the twins about the surprises she got them - so then before the call is over I've got 2 kids bombarding me with questions about "when do I get my surprise" - the TV is blaring - I hate noise!
Hubby brought home McDonald's for lunch, then took the kids outside to get muddy - and I got a much needed shower. Hubby is gone to work now. And I am sitting here with these sharp pains - baby movement - low down in front - enough pain to make a moan/grunt over. Maybe I just need to poop? The fluid is driving me nuts. I know it isn't pee because little to no pee comes out when I go to the toilet.
Hubby's boss needs him to work the night after I am due to have the baby. I guess my kids will have to go stay with m parents that night until he gets off work...I hope they are willing to help out like that.
Tomorrow is Saturday! Hubby has a tournament. I am taking the kids to visit my parents and brother. I plan on arriving at kickoff for Alabama football...about 11:30am. It will be nice to get out of here and take my mind off home. I miss my family and they miss us, so it's all good.

Thursday - 1 week left

Yesterday we spent a little time celebrating with hubby's mom for her birthday. Nothing major - just the kids being sweet to her and hanging out. We gave her a pretty gift bag (picked by T) with practical gifts and sentimental gifts (card picked by J that we listed reasons hubby's mom is special and a bracelet we made together). The twins sang happy birthday to her and gave her WAY more hugs than usual. She was thrilled.
Doctor update...I lost 1 pound...I am dilated 3-4cm...cervix still pretty thick...head down but not dropped too far - still floating a bit. After 3 types of tests I was told I am NOT leaking amniotic fluid. The third test to check my fluid issue was an ultrasound; they also wanted to check his size - he seemed big to the doctor. The ultrasound could be off by a pound either way...8 pounds 5 ounces. The doctor used that with the reminder of "he'll gain a half a pound a week" to push me into setting a date. She says he's still vaginally birthable, but if he gets much bigger...well, we'll see. I told her if I haven't gone into labor naturally by my due date, I'll get induced then. So, in 1 week or less I'll have a baby. AND he does NOT need any more newborn diapers. I think we're going into size 1's quick!
I really need to focus on particular areas of my to-do list. Common sense tells me to do things first that pertain to the baby; also, I try not to focus on things other people could do for me if they had to. I feel like I need to write an outline of what needs to be done...like I'm in school or something. Big headings could be - laundry, living room, bedroom, baby preparation, day-to-day basics. Seems so "doable" to have 5 things on a list; unfortunately, there are MANY subheadings, and I get LOST in the details!

Wednesday

I'll be going to the doctor shortly - just for a check-up. I'm curious to see if the baby has dropped like I think he has. Also, I suspect my cervix is thinning out - maybe even dilating a little more. I think I've gained weight - probably just water weight. It would not surprise me to have a non-stress test done due to the amazing number of contractions I've had. I have some money from hubby to get gas and pay for parking. Hubby will be keeping the kids for me.
I need to stop at the dollar store on the way home and get some things - hand soap, spray bottle, masking tape, etc. I've already gone out in the rain to buy cokes.
I'm hoping to visit my mom Saturday - I thought hubby could come with us since he is off work, but he is playing in a tournament. Of course, I COULD have a baby before Saturday - that would throw a wrench in the works!
The dentist update - neither twin has any cavities. J has a little calculus from his addiction to milk. The new rule is milk and juice ONLY at mealtime - water anytime. That rule is "new" to me because I grew up drinking what I wanted, any time I wanted. Me and hubby have always drank coke (or tea or other soda) all day and night - thus we have really BAD teeth. Seriously, I don't recall drinking water until my 20's (except at water fountains). Anyway, the kids don't mind - they like water. It also helps me limit J's intake of milk - before he would drink many, many glasses of milk every day...now he only gets 3 - max.
Today hubby's mom turns 59! This is her first sober (and non-smoking) birthday in tons and tons of years. We don't have anything special planned - I'm thinking art project to make a nice card or banner later. She doesn't like cake or sweets, and she is trying to watch her weight - so no food.

Tuesday

I slept much better last night. I woke up about half as often as the night before, and I wasn't in pain all night. My contractions were 10 minutes apart at bedtime, but now they are random. Hubby works 11-8 today. So far the twins are behaving. I'm energetic enough to want to tie up some loose ends around the house.
Hubby just left for work. He gave me money without being asked. Now I don't have to worry about gas or parking at my doctor's appointment tomorrow. I'm due in 9 days...single digits...uh. Tomorrow will be appointment number 14 for this pregnancy.
T got into a puzzle mood today and dug through a box of misc pieces to build a horse puzzle. After that she learned how to spell "vine" - thanks PBS Kids!
J is a little "attitudey" today - and a little weepy. He's busy playing Scooby Doo on Xbox.
Tonight I get to see my Duggar show AND an all new Biggest Loser!
I'm playing a fun game of "stay busy and ignore the contractions." After getting lunch ready for the twins, I plan on laying out their day clothes, getting myself dressed, washing my face, brushing my teeth, brushing my hair, checking the mail, creating a rockin' playlist for later, gathering my purse (epipen, medicaid cards, etc), giving J his medicine, brushing the kids teeth, checking/turning off the dryer, and going to the dentist.
After that I want to run by dollar tree, go get myself some fast food, go home, crank up some good music and work on my to-do list.

False alarm

So I spent ALL last night thinking I was in labor or the kid was dying. I felt BAD. Pain in the guts, contractions, little movement from the baby, inability to sleep - it sucked! I really thought I'd be heading to labor & delivery today, but NOW, after pooping dinner from 2 nights ago and passing a ton of gas, I feel fine. I certainly hope labor won't feel as bad as needing to poop and fart!
I am definitely having lower pains and stronger contractions. He seems to have turned more - it is like his butt is sticking out in front now. I guess if I'm going to go anywhere today I need to hurry just in case. Ouch...contraction 10:09. Geez I really need to go to the bank, pharmacy, and dollar store. Ah...contraction gone 10:10. I'm running late with the twins breakfast. Contraction 10:13....stopped at 10:14. 10:16 start 10:17 stop. 10:20 start 10:22 stop. 10:25 start 10:26 stop. Got breakfast made for them - I'm hungry too. If I'm in labor they won't let me eat...so I should get food just in case. I need to get dressed, lay out the twins clothes, and make out a list. 10:30 start 10:31 stop. 10:32 start 10:32 stop. 10:34 start 10:35 stop. 10:36 start 10:36 stop. 10:39 start 10:39 stop. 10:42 start 10:43 stop. 10:46 - 10:47. I need a shower. 10:48 - 10:48. I mean these contractions are often but not as regular as I would expect for true labor. 10:50-10:50. 10:53-10:54. I need to get a plan of attack going here. 10:56-10:57. I need to go get my shower, get dressed, go to the bank, go by the pharmacy, get FAST food, come home and pack a hospital bag just in case. 10:58-10:59. I guess I should keep timing these things through 11:09 (that way I have 1 full hour of data to tell the doctor if/when I call). 11:00-11:01. 11:03-11:05 - long one. 11:09-11:10. 11:13-11:14. Stopping timing now to go take a shower.
Out of the shower now - just in time for the mail to run. That shower felt SO good. I had contractions, but I couldn't feel them in the hot, running water. Hubby has called twice today to check on me - how sweet of him. D'oh - 11:56-11:56 - it starts again. Between contractions I'm getting the kids dressed and brushing my teeth. I've still got to fill out my deposit slip and grab J's prescription slip. 11:59-12:00. 12:03-12:03 Now I'm beginning to wonder if I was having well-spaced apart contractions all night - these are so much closer than early labor should be. 12:06-12:06. I hate to Jinx myself, but it has been a whole 6 minutes with no contraction! Never mind - 12:13-12:13. 12:16-12:16. 12:18-12:19. 12:23-12:24. 12:26-12:26. Leaving to run errands - wish me luck!

UPDATE: We just got home from running errands; we'll need to go back out shortly to pickup the prescription we dropped off. I've eaten lunch, and I'm about to fix food for the twins. I'm not timing contractions right now - I'm just going with the flow. I'm listening to Natalie Merchant - Tigerlily - and trying not to bite my nails.
We went to pickup J's prescription and they don't have it. I only wasted a little gas. I have to call them tomorrow after 1pm to see if it is ready yet.
It is rainy and dark outside. I'm super tired - and after all the pain I felt on our adventure to the pharmacy, I think it would be best for me to lay down soon. At least this pain SEEMS to be from the baby moving and not as much from contractions. I've told the kids when 4pm gets here, we're all going to my room to watch a movie and rest. That gives me 16 minutes to eat a popsicle, empty the dryer, refill the dryer, and find a good movie to watch. I'll have to get back up later to feed the kids dinner - no big deal.
Back up - got the kids fed - found out Swayze died. Hubby will be home in a about an hour. Contractions are not too painful, but are often. This kids really seems to have "dropped" into my pelvis some. I've been very hot today too - I guess it is hormonal.
